Custom tensile structure fabricated with thirty Ferrari Soltis 502 panels covering the outdoor college ice rink measuring 2,587’ and six HDPE side fabric shade sails measuring 2.688’. Lawrence installed the Tensile Structure over the UNMC Ice Rink to serve as a new decorative centerpiece for the rink, covering the rink during winter months to help the ice stay in better condition.
The Student Plaza is a campus gathering place and the ice rink is a seasonal attraction for students and the community. This addition will have a major impact in enabling students, staff and faculty to enjoy use of the rink for more outdoor events and ceremonies throughout the year.
