LAWRENCE FABRIC & METAL STRUCTURES, INC IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE ACQUISITION OF KRAUSS GRAPHICS
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, (September 2011) Jerry Grimaud, Owner & President of
Lawrence Fabric, has acquired Krauss Graphics of Highland Heights, Kentucky. The
previous owner of Krauss Graphics, Jack McMath has decided to retire. For many
years, Krauss Graphics has supplied Lawrence with excellent service and quality for
specialty graphics products. "We have always been impressed with their knowledge
of RF welded vinyl letters and SGS Graphics", explains Grimaud. Krauss offered a
wide range of processes for awning graphics including backlit, pressure sensitive and
sunbrella graphic systems. Krauss will compliment Lawrence's ability to print in-house.
In an effort to continue the service and traditions of Krauss, Lawrence has acquired
their equipment and customer database. Most of Krauss customers are serviced
using UPS or Federal Express delivery. "With Tri Vantage distributing
fabrics in St. Louis, our customers will be able to ship fabric directly to Lawrence for the
graphic applications," Grimaud says. While working through the logistics, Lawrence's main goal will
be to continue to run the company efficiently during this transition period. "We are very
excited about this new venture and look forward to serving the needs of our clients now
and in the years to come," added Grimaud.

2011 Awards
In February 2011, we entered 10 projects with the Midwest Fabric Production Association. We received 2 first place and 4 second place Craftmanship Awards sponsored by Tri Vantage, the nation's largest specialty Fabric Distributor.
Highlights: The original job request was for a hard wood shingled canopy for their front entrance and we offered design options for a free standing canopy. We created and installed a 17.9 wide by 36.5 projection canopy with steel substructure using 6 square steel posts and 6 x 12 steel trusses.
Highlights: This one-of-a-kind retractable canopy covers a garden style outdoor patio seating area, measuring 3,600 square feet with 2,400 square feet open when canopy is electronically retracted. The actual opening or closing takes an incredible short time of less than 60 seconds. View the Video and The Gallery.
Highlights: These canopies add an elegant touch to enhance the high class casino lobby atmosphere. Convex awning shape and mitered corners using striped fabric, each one projects out 10 by 20 wide. There is intricate detail with two rows of embroidered trim around the entire lower portion of both canopies.
Highlights: A unique canopy for inside mechanic work on trailers travelling the Ice Road in Alaska. The canopy provides shelter strong enough to block the wind and snow, yet lightweight enough for 4 people to install and break down repeatedly. The enormous tent is 16 6 tall by 43 wide, made of a mixture of aluminium and steel framing with Weather Max FR fabric. View the Video and The Gallery.
Highlights: This show stopping design combined printed, unprinted and backlit tensioned fabric with impressive metal structures. The metal and fabric lounge area is 20 long, 17 wide and 20 tall. The tapered square with legs is 30 long, 30 wide and 11 tall. The incredible size, compound radius slopes and the number of components made this exhibit the highlight of the trade show.
